Spices, salt, onion, paprika, garlic, dextrose, vegetable oil (partially hydrogenated soybean oil with BHT to help protect flavor), corn syrup solids, silicon dioxide (anti-caking agent).


1 to 1 1/2 lbs ground beef (or other ground meat)
1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
6 cups water


  • Brown ground beef, drain excess fat.
  • Add chili mix with tomato paste and water
  • Add meat and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally until desired thickness.

    Follow the directions on the seasoning packet, NOT the directions on this site. You DO NOT brown the meat separately then add it to the water, you boil the meat, tomato paste and spices All at the same time, then simmer for at least an hour. Otherwise the texture will be all wrong. Don’t forget your oyster cracker bombs while you wait to eat the chili!

    We love this chili and haven’t been able to find it here in TX. for a couple of years. Kroger used to carry it, but they don’t any more. We used to live in Cincinnati and my Husband grew up on Cincinnati Chili and that’s how I got to loving it too!!!
