The Texas flag is also known as the "the Lone Star Flag". It was adopted on January 24, 1839 as the final national flag of the Republic of Texas. When Texas became the 28 th state of the Union in 1845, its national flag became the state flag. The colors of the Texas flag are blue, which stands for loyalty, white for strength, and red for bravery. The Texas flag flies proudly over many homes, business and government buildings in the great state of Texas.
Use as a dip with sour cream and mayonnaise, as a spread with cream cheese, even as a salad dressing with buttermilk and mayonnaise.
